At the beginning of the year I was teaching the students how to use the equipment properly. When I blow my whistle the class is suppose to freeze and put any equipment on the floor or between their feet.
On this day we were practicing this drill with the yarn balls which are a bit fuzzy. I was teaching sixth grade. Keep that in mind. So I blew the whistle and they dropped the yarn balls and put their hands on the knees and froze.
After I had given instruction I said "Okay kids go ahead a grab your fuzzy balls." After I this came out of my mouth I realized what I had said. All the boys were snickering and the girls were trying not to laugh too. I then started to laugh so hard because I couldn't believe I said that. I finally composed myself and told the kids I was sorry I said that. I'll never forget that.
